I seek a debate... I beg for one... I rairly find one... Therefore I run for the U.S. Presidency, yet as such, presuming I came to power there.... I would still need to offer the world a global plan of action... which would make it possible to truly... in real honest terms... with real numbers.... end all world poverty and make money doing it. See-- >> http://mosheh.org/Message-for-Bankers.html which reads....... in part.... --------------------------------
Question : Who owns the Solar System? Answer : We do, as the whole human race.
Therefore : We can using world wide mutual agreement, via the U.N. declare ownership of the entire Solar System, and as such, we can create a futures based security certificate representing those future obtainable values in endless commodity wealth, and spend a percentage of it now, in the specific world wide effort to build up the global infrastructure to go and get it, and in the process, we can fully expand the free market, and employ the entire world in this global effort to reach the planets and then the stars, and make money doing it.
It's that simple, and the following is a long discussion of the details...... read on at the link.

The problem with all open forum political organisations is that most of those willing to put forward opinions are lunatics. This is why most democratics systems involve voting for a representative who most people would agree is sensible and sane.

Hummm.. was that a stab at me??? Because it clearly was not an argument against my proposed plans of solution. Yet you do have a point, and I cannot say your above statement is wrong, because clearly it is not wrong... however... if.. and I say this with all due respect... if.. it was directed at me, then I would ask you to back that up... if not, then, perhaps we can focus on the matter at hand which is to develop workable economic policy for global solution which can make the salvation of our species possible.... or... perhaps you do not wish to discuss it? if not.. then one has to wonder.... why not?

Agreed Whister, this applies to most publid discussion, debate or forums. Many sane people are too scared to do anything for fear of being labeled a lunatic like the rest and if they do speak up, the public discounted them because of the lunatics. Whats worse is when crazy people get it right, no0one believes or cares what they say because of all the crazy shit they say. Crazy folk are always the first to get in on a good movement too... so the Occupy movement in Australia was doomed from the start. Look at what happened in Adelaide, who let the zeigests take over? That was an issue to me, which quickly got worse when all the sane people were alienated by speeches about being stalked and hunted by the illuminati...

I beleive in equality, solidarity and democracy and am mostlikely offending Zeigests and those threatened by the illuminati. Still, I have been putting up with this for months and have to tell it like it is. What is the core message of the Occupy movement? "To end the corruption of our democracy [1]", "fight back against the corrosive power of major banks and multinational corporations over the democratic process[2]" and "occupy together for human need not corporate greed[3]". This movement is between the Australian people and the Australian political and ecconomic elite so can we leave aliens, demons and the apocalypse out of it? Further more, the reasons of occupation is to "peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone. [4]" or in other words, "to build serious and meaningful change from the bottom up. [5]" This type of action is defined as grassroots politics, which requires long term strategic planning and people powered action, this is exactly what the founders of Occupy Wall Street achieved. What started as a protest of 1000 people has grown, reaching people all over America and inspired occupation in over 2000 cities around the globe. Dispite Occupy Wall Streets perfect example of direct democracy and grass root politics, occupations in Australia and around the world failed. Their has been many suggestions as to why and somel say its because we are a privilaged country, I would argue that we are an ignorant, complacent country. The Occupy movement was embraced by many Australian and had overwhelming interest and support. Unfortunately little time and energy was given to strategic planning prior to public action and many angry and frustrated Australians initiated public action. I beleive this is how the movement in Australia lost its power. This is when confusion and division grew, commonality was forgotten and soon solidarity was left behind. Dispite the momentum that had been built, the lack of solidarity and defined commonality quickly created devisions and loss of power. Many people involved in the movement began to feel alienated and some began self seeking, grabbing at power and control and becoming agressive and defensive. As the 'Occupy' movement grew the attention of greater Australia, we failed to deliver a clear message of commonality but instead created an uninterpetable noise of devided voices. More Australians felt alienated from the movement, itcontinued to lose power and momentum, and we grew doubt, fear and disappointment. Some occupations and collectives continue in Australia with varying levels of success, I hope we can work to rebuilt the movement in whatever form it takes but without great discussion, strategic planning and exploring common issues, visions, demands and actions for a united movement it will continue to fail.

Agreed Garten, I think you're spot on saying we are an ignorant and complacent country. In the US, Wall Street was a clear target, in the UK, the City was the target. Here, we don't really have a clear physical target, so the movement seems to have been more conceptual than physical. When it was physical, i.e. occupying real spaces, those spaces were not necessarily uniquely associated with the target. Without a clear target, or a clear action, the movement has become "fuzzy". I'd love to see some clear actions that individuals can take, to change their individual lives, in support of the Occupy philosophy. Some are obvious - move from the Big 4 banks to credit union or a small regional bank, support farmers markets and small independent stores as much as possible, avoid brand names like "Gucci", "Dior" and "Oroton" in the same way you avoid swastikas. Without a link to everyday life, I don't think the movement can maintain relevance.

Why not do what Iceland did and wipe the depts away. Then put limits on the size of the banks and all other big companies. Stop oversea's ownership of our land and resources, and put the utilities back under gov control?
